Mindset Mastery

Mindset work is like a pantry staple in coaching, a foundational item that’s versatile and is used in nearly every situation. Mindset is a critical ingredient in how we show up and experience our life. Mindset grows out of our beliefs about how we see ourselves and make sense of the world, it’s effectively the lens through which you view and experience life. How you choose to think about things affects how you experience them and literally impacts every facet of your life.

If you occasionally struggle with mindset, the good news is that it’s not fixed and can be strengthened and developed. Like other muscles in your body it requires attention and intention to grow. Mindset mastery is a journey and won’t happen overnight, it’s a bit like taking your brain to the gym and requires commitment, consistency and consciousness. Here are some ideas to get you started:

Make subtle shifts in language “I get to” instead of “I have to”, “choose” instead of “should”, “can” instead of “can’t” Change your self-talk- what you tell yourself matters, it can either build you up or tear you down Inspirational quotes- find ones light you up and post them all over- they can change your perspective Look for the positive- train your brain to look for the good and look for 3 good things every day Start a gratitude practice- people who do are happier and have a positive mindset Look for opportunities and possibilities, not failure and adversity Accept failure as a learning opportunity Believe you can You control your mind, not the other way around. Practice mindset work daily and small changes over time can have a huge impact. Master your mindset to master your life.
