Things were great, but life has a funny way of throwing curve balls. In 2011, I was diagnosed with a chronic form of leukemia. It was a tough pill to swallow, but years later I can say with all authenticity that it was a gift that changed the lens through which I view life. It grounded me in ways I never thought possible. One of the biggest lessons I learned was that it's not worth getting wrapped around the axle about stuff that doesn’t matter. It showed me how to cut through the BS of daily life and focus on what’s really important.
Today, I work with clients who want to change but aren’t sure where to start or how to create it. We co-create a new and purposeful future, do the deep work to create meaningful change, and develop a plan to get there. Along the way, we'll learn, laugh, lean into our edges, get comfortable being uncomfortable, grow, and unapologetically appreciate who we are and how we show up.
We all have our own path, and we're all writing our own chapters. We may not know everything that the chapter will hold, but we have to get started somewhere. If you're ready to write your next chapter and want some help, let's chat.
We all have a story- our experiences shape who we are and who we become.
I grew up in a family business, where dinner conversations were basically all about family and business. It gave me an early, front-row seat to the special dynamics (the good and the not so good) that exist in family businesses. My parents taught me everything I know about showing up, treating and leading people, and coming from a place of service. To complement my family business education, I got an actual degree in business, both undergrad and graduate.
I started my career in marketing for The Walt Disney Company, and it was an amazing place to cut my teeth professionally. The creative brilliance is off the charts, and it gave me a unique understanding of creatives and the creative process. From there, I went to The Coca-Cola Company in brand management, using consumer and market insights to drive strategy. I found my real passion when I worked as an executive recruiter where I discovered my love for coaching and my passion for helping real, fully human beings find their sweet spot.
Along the way I had three amazing children. They're the real MVPs. They continue to teach and stretch me in ways I never thought possible and act as a petri dish for coaching interventions (much to their chagrin!).
